Worldwide Rails Training

by jcf. Average Reading Time: less than a minute.

RubyOnRailsWorkshops.com is a web site that tracks all Rails workshops around the world. So if you’d rather go to Los Angeles than to Zurich, that’s the place to look.

In related news, it looks like my Geneva Rails Workshop won’t be happening. So far I have one interested person (coming all the way from Denmark) but none from the Geneva area. I need at least 8 people and I need some form of interest by Wednesday 18th.

Sorry to hear that your Geneva workshop won’t be happening. With Geneva being the place I work and being interested in Ruby on Rails, it would have been great. In a world however where Ruby still is off the visibility screen of most clients, it is hard to justify to use because there are so few people out there who can maintain such an application.

How could you convince your client to go for it?

Yeah – too bad. But it seems that I found the wrong companies and sent out the wrong emails to them – I didn’t get one single response.

Convinicing customers? Luckily in those projects I’m working in, they saw the value of us doing it with Rails. Faster development, rapid delivery etc.
