I know Opera is great – do you?

by jcf. Average Reading Time: less than a minute.

I’ve been an on and off Opera user back in the Opera 4, 5 and 6 days. Ever since Opera 7 came out however, Opera is the single browser I use. Today Opera 7.11 is released. I cam across this 30 Days to becoming an Opera Lover (TnTLuoma.com) 30-days guide to Opera (the 6 version) and learnt a few tricks along the way.

If you aren’t an Opera user yet, go over and read it, and then convert.

If you are using Opera – go there and learn something new

  1. I LOVE Opera too. I use it as my default browser, but there still are sites that don’t want anything but IE5+. If everybody could develop sites that follows the standards, it would be much easier.

  2. I haven’t found many sites that don’t render with Opera. And you know about CTRL-ALT-I (Identify as IE 5)? That has solved the few remaining sites problems. I usually identify as Opera though

  3. Yes, sites that relies heavily on JavaScript, and that do IE-specific tricks often fail. It doesn’t matter what User-Agent I use in those cases. But I have to admit, that the number of sites that fails are decreasing!
